Profit fall for Lufthansa
Lufthansa’s operating profit for the year’s first half has plummeted EUR 394 million.
Lufthansa reported an operating profit of EUR 8 million for the first half. The corresponding figure for last year was 402 million, Newsagency Directly writes.
The airline made a loss of 216 million after taxes, compared to a profit of EUR 410 million last year. The collapse was still less than expected. Analysts estimated a loss of 311 million, according to Bloomberg. Sales fell by 16 percent to 10.2 billion.
The forecast of a positive result for the whole year remains though, according to the company.
