Boeing’s Dreamliner First Flight This Year
After the premiere flight has been postponed five times, Boeing now plans to make its first flight with the 787 Dreamliner this year.
When Boeing in June for the fifth time postponed the premiere flight of the new 787 Dreamliner plane, there was no new timetable. Now Boeing is planning to conduct the first flight before year’s end, Bloomberg writes. This means that new airplane is delayed by two and a half years compared to the original plans. The first aircraft to be under the new plan comes in the fourth quarter of next year. In late 2013, the rate of production will reach ten aircraft per month.
