The airline Norwegian will start low cost flights to the USA, South America and Asia. Preferably as early as next year.
If the demand is there, Norwegian will launch its first long-haul routes next year. Fifteen routes from Scandinavia to major cities in the U.S., Asia and South America are on the wish list, writes Financial Avisen according to news agency Direkt and E24.
-”Norwegian is continuously examining profitable routes and I can confirm that we have carefully looked at long-haul, ” says Ann-Sisel Skånvik, Norwegian’s communications director.
The routes would be operated with leased aircraft and the first route would be Oslo to Bangkok, New York and Beijing. By 2011, at the latest, the routes will be operational.
