German airline Lufthansa recently announced that they will soon begin offering both wireless LAN and cellular networks on it’s long distance flights between Europe and USA.
On Monday, the airline Lufthansa announced that they plan to improve job opportunities for those who fly between Europe and America. The company will offer its passengers both wireless and mobile networks, writes Electronist.
The airline has worked with Panasonic to develop the service, which will offer both support for mobile calls and SMS. Price land at approximately $3 per minute for calls, $12 for an hour of surfing and $22 for a whole day. The service is introduced in a few months and will gradually spread to other routes.
Lufthansa has earlier offered a similar service using Boeing’s now defunct Connexion service.
