A380 Continues To Strain Airbus
Airbus owner EADS said that aircraft deliveries will be the same in 2010 as they were in 2009.
The order book stood at around 416 billion euros at the end of the first quarter. Gross orders will be between 250 and 300 aircrafts during the year according to the company.
Revenues during the first quarter amounted to 9.0 billion euros, against the expected 8.8 billion, according to Bloomberg News.
The adjusted EBIT result for the first quarter was EUR 0.2 billion (0.4). The company expects that the A380 project will strain on the adjusted EBIT performance significantly during the year. According to the company’s Chief Financial Officer Hans Peter Ring, there will be more than 20 pieces A380S be delivered during the year, which is in line with what was previously announced.
