Finnair Increases Traffic To Asia
Finnair increased its’ traffic from Helsinki to Asia by 65 000 passengers during the first seven months of 2010. A total of 755 000 passengers traveled from Helsinki to Asia during the period from January to July. That’s 65 000 more than during the same period in 2009.
Helsinki airport could record double digit percentage increases in the number of travelers to seven of the airport’s nine destinations in Asia in this period compared with last year. Full-year forecast indicates 1.2 million Asian travelers.
– Notably, Seoul rose 62 percent during the month of July this year compared to the same month last year. It is also gratifying that Japan continues to increase, 40 000 selected Helsinki as a gateway to Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya in July.
