Aeroflot gives notice to 2000 employees

The Russian airline Aeroflot is planning to cut staff by 2,000 employees, which represents 13 percent of its workforce, within the next six months. This was communicated by  a spokeswoman for the company on Thursday. The airline’s profits have plummeted because of rising fuel prices.
