Barcelona Wants To Introduce Tax For Tourists
Tourists in Barcelona, Spain, may soon have to pay a special tourist tax for every day they spend in the city.
Authoroties in Barcelona wants visitors to pay the sum of €1 a day. Barcelona could thus become the first Spanish city to introduce such a tourism tax, the newspaper La Vanguardia writes.
The income would be spend on promotion of the tourism industry and other related things.
Barcelona receives about 6,5 million tourists each year.
